About Department of Psychology:

The Department of Psychology is one of the oldest departments of Psychology in Uttar Pradesh. It was established at the inception of the College in 1958.

Psychology as a science is deeply committed to scientific values like objectivity and open mindedness. Keeping this in mind the Department endeavours to impart education in such a way that its students may develop not only a keen intellect and a scientific temper but also take into perspective multiculturalism, socio- economic status, and religious orientation in understanding human behaviour.

The Department follows the same syllabus as that of the University of Lucknow for its undergraduate classes. Besides theory classes, the students also have to conduct tests and experiments and make other measurements in all the three years of the prescribed course.

Besides teaching, from time to time, the department also holds seminars, workshops and invites eminent speakers from the field.
